Elthea’s Realm (The Story of Elthea’s Realm Book 1)

Science fiction and fantasy novel Elthea’s Realm is a land with islands held high above the ocean by a slender pillar and stars that float down from the heavens to bestow an amazing gift. It’s a place where five friends involuntarily find themselves after they were attacked by a destructive computer virus turned corporeal.

The five companions are soon befriended by the Astari, a race of people who were once computer software programs on Earth. The deadly virus, called Bots, continue to pursue the five friends because of their participation in a college course called The Utopia Project. And the Bots will stop at nothing to kill or capture them, even as the virus begins to wage war on Earth’s computer infrastructure.

The members of The Utopia Project and their Astari protectors band together and hatch a plan to stop the Bots before being killed by them first, and before the Earth is left in ruins.

What ensues is a harrowing tale of magic and survival, set against the backdrop of what makes us human. Ultimately, it’s a story of friendship and brotherhood, without which none would survive.

The Corner Store Witch

Leone owns Pulp Magic (Comics, Books, Games, & More). Angry customers are her biggest concern—until a man from another world literally drops into her shop. And oni have followed him. Leone defends herself with a magical staff, which marks her with powerful runes. Her supernatural tattoo sleeves make her desperately thirsty, yet practically allergic to water—and oh, they foretell the fate of the realms of demons, gods, and men.

With her four friends and inter-dimensional guide, Leone travels to the realm of the gods, searching for magical cosmetic surgery. She doesn’t want to carry the fate of the world literally on her arms. But the truth she finds—of a war raging between worlds—changes her, challenges her.

What’s a nerd to do with the fate of all worlds at stake? Ah yes, kick some demon ass.

The Chronicles of Narnia but with more swearing, more katanas, and less allegory. It’s nerdy, anime inspired fun for the whole family.

The Commons, Book 1: The Journeyman

“Paul Reid died in the snow at seventeen. The day of his death, he told a lie—and for the rest of his life, he wondered if that was what killed him.”

And so begins the battle for the afterlife, known as The Commons. It’s been taken over by a corporate raider who uses the energy of its souls to maintain his brutal control. The result is an imaginary landscape of a broken America—stuck in time and overrun by the heroes, monsters, dreams, and nightmares of the imprisoned dead.

Three people board a bus to nowhere: a New York street kid, an Iraq War veteran, and her five-year-old special-needs son. After a horrific accident, they are the last, best hope for The Commons to free itself. Along for the ride are a shotgun-toting goth girl, a six-foot-six mummy, a mute Shaolin monk with anger-management issues, and the only guide left to lead them.

Three Journeys: separate but joined. One mission: to save forever.

But first they have to save themselves.

They start hanging out and all is well until she goes over to his house. Cy’s house is haunted, and not by Caspar, the friendly ghost.

Shade

Shade: Girl on a hero’s journey, going from smart-ass to badass.

Thanks to her offbeat mother, Shade’s full name is Galactic Shade Griffin. Having a name like that while being the new girl in school is pretty much catnip for bullies. The summer before Shade’s junior year of high school, her mother breaks up with yet another boyfriend and moves them once again to a new town.

This time, they move into a dilapidated old house where Shade has an entire attic bedroom to herself—at least until she discovers it’s haunted by the ghost of a teenaged boy named Brandon Yates. When Shade’s best friend goes missing, her life becomes even more complicated. With the help of Brandon who’s struggling with his own issues in the world beyond, Shade faces the question of whether or not she has what it takes to become a true hero.

Although this novel deals with a number of serious issues—drug and alcohol abuse, cutting, and disturbing world events—it’s primarily a novel about a teenaged girl finding out who she really is and that she’s capable of so much more than she ever thought possible.

SHADE is a YA Mystery novel with Paranormal elements.
