What Happens in New York

Navigating the post-university world is tough. Unable to find a direction, Hollie moves back in with her mum and nan and gets a job at the local electrical store. It’s boring and under-stimulating, but it pays the bills.

Until one day, when she can’t handle her boss’s customer stealing, or leering, or games of Spider Solitaire any longer.

She quits.

Once again without a direction, she drives to Scotland to visit her best friend Fayth.

Fayth lost her mum and sister in a car accident just six months ago, and she can’t wake up, go to work, or even walk the dogs without something reminding her of them.

To make matters worse, her ex-husband cheated on her not long after their death, and he still thinks she’ll take him back.

Fed up with their lives and in need of a change of scenery, the two friends go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York.

When Hollie goes for a last-minute toilet break and gets locked out of the theatre, little does she realise she’s about to meet model-turned-stunt performer Astin Mack.

Astin introduces them to the Hollywood elite, but is all as it seems? Is the grass any greener just because they have fame, money, and power, or are they just as susceptible to love and loss as everyone else?

What Happens in New York is the sexy, sassy debut novel by author, poet, and blogger Kristina Adams. If you love stories of fame, fashion, and friendship, it’s not to be missed!

Confessions of a Wedding Musician Mom

Fans of Sophie Kinsella, Meg Cabot, and Jen Lancaster will love this laugh-out-loud funny book that is also filled with sweet moments.

Stay-at-home mom Heather Hershey hadn’t thought about playing the piano in years. After what happened in college, she could barely bring herself to learn the theme song to Millie Mallard’s Pond of Fun to amuse her kids.

When she ran into an old college acquaintance at the grocery store things began to change. You were the piano player kept reverberating through Heather’s head. She couldn’t shake the idea, and she decided to take a leap of faith.

Acting on suggestions from her patient husband, a zany neighbor, and even her out of control kids, Heather dives head first into the quagmire of starting her own business. In the beginning, it didn’t seem as hard to get prospective clients as she’d imagined. It soon became obvious that sealing the deal was the problem . . .

Will Heather realize her dream of becoming a professional pianist, or will it just be misstep after misstep yet again?

Jennifer McCoy Blaske sews together a wonderful patchwork of quirky yet relatable characters in this delightful story of one mother’s struggle to juggle her home, her kids, her husband, and her fledgling business. Blaske brings Heather’s hilarious trials and tribulations while starting a new business into Technicolor—amidst the pandemonium of family life. This laugh-out-loud tale is a most entertaining quick read, and not to be missed!

“This is a quick read, and a lot of fun, whether you are in the Wedding Industry, a busy Mom, or any combination thereof. Loved it!”—Rev Gurley, Amazon reviewer

The Blow-In

Romance can lurk where you least expect it. Even in the depths of the Irish countryside.

Political reporter Finola McGee is not the romantic type. She leads with her chin, shoots from the hip and takes no prisoners. When living on the edge loses its appeal, she escapes Dublin to run the local newspaper in a small Tipperary town. An easy job, friendly neighbours, lovely countryside, and fresh air—what’s not to like?

But the rural bliss doesn’t last longer than a weekend. Finola soon finds herself mixed up in a hornet’s nest of conspiracies. And when Hollywood rides into town, a certain heartthrob adds a further twist to an already complicated romance…
